The Debating Society of SRCC stands as a beacon of intellectual engagement, fostering meaningful conversations, deepening knowledge, and promoting healthy discourse among university students. The society organizes four flagship tournaments: the Shri Ram Debating Festival, Gambit, Shri Ram Pre-ABP, and Rahat. Additionally, we have pioneered a unique initiative for school students, the Shri Ram Debating Masterclass, designed to cultivate debating skills at an early age.

SHRI RAM DEBATING FESTIVAL
The Shri Ram Debating Festival (SRDF) is the premier offline event hosted by The Debating Society, SRCC. Featuring International Core Adjudicators, an impressive prize pool, and outstanding hospitality—including cuisine from renowned brands—SRDF attracts participants from across the nation. Supported by esteemed partners such as Microsoft, GAIL, and IGL, the festival is highly esteemed by debaters across the circuit.
GAMBIT - ANNUAL FRESHERS' DEBATE
Gambit is India’s largest Asian Parliamentary Freshers’ Tournament, organized annually by The Debating Society, SRCC. With over 85 teams participating internationally, the tournament is renowned for its exceptional debating standards and its role in fostering discourse among new members of the circuit. Gambit serves as a platform for building confidence and honing skills under the guidance of experienced adjudicators.
SHRI RAM DEBATING MASTERCLASS
The Shri Ram Debating Masterclass is a signature event for school students, organized by The Debating Society, SRCC. This event brings together internationally accredited debaters and debate educators to impart skills on tackling diverse debate themes. The masterclass culminates in a competition round, offering selected students the opportunity to visit SRCC’s esteemed campus
SHRI RAM PRE-ABP
The Shri Ram Pre-ABP is the society’s flagship British Parliamentary Debate tournament, held online annually. This tournament serves as a preparatory event for teams aiming to compete in the prestigious Asian British Parliamentary (ABP) tournament. It is lauded for its distinguished Core Adjudicators, well-crafted motions, and a generous prize pool.
